Feuerheerd was founded in 1815 by German Dietrich Feuerheerd and became one of the leading port houses. In 1996 the equally historic Hutcheson was merged with Feuerheerd. In 2007 the house was sold to Quinta D. Matilda Vinhos. 1985 is a great classic port vintage, with concentrated, rich and potent wines. The 1985 Feuerheerd is medium red in colour with a ruby hue. Once in the glass we identified aromas of dark cherries with a hint of spice. On the palate the flavours are fruity and well defined with a nuances of burnt brown sugar. Packed in a gift box.
